I want to share with you a tentative schedule for summer activities. I wanted to give you plenty of time to mark your calendars as summer will be here in just a couple of months.

June 15-19 - Sports Crusader Soccer Camp

July 12-16 - Vacation Bible School
July 20 - Kid's Day Out
July 22 - GRIP
July 27- August 1 - Children's Camp
August 10 - Kid's Day Out
August 19 - AWANA begins again

I want to close with a note of encouragement to parents. Jonathan spoke in his sermon a couple of weeks ago that it is your job to be raising your children and this includes teaching them spiritually. I often go to a website for children's ministers. This is a prayer that a pastor from Tennessee gave to his parents to use. I encourage you to pray for your children and their salvation. Below is a model you can use.
Father, grant us all that we need to be faithful in training up our children in the way that they should go. May we never forget that this training continues as long as we have breathe.
Father, as you discipline us for our profit that we may be partakers of your holiness, may you help us to discipline our own children in a way that turns them to you. Help us not to provoke them to wrath but to bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord that leads to holiness.
Lord, may our seed and our seeds be found faithful unto you until you com.
