August has been a month of many new beginnings for our students. All went back to school or started school for the first time in a new grade level! I love hearing the excitement in the children’s voices as they talk about who their teacher is and how they are ready to be at school. I know it won’t be very long and they will be talking about when will school ever be out! I am praying this year that our children will be witnesses in their schools. I ask that you join me as parents and church members to pray for God’s protection for our children and for God to use our children to impact the town of Columbia.
AWANA began this month and is going well. I am always excited for the AWANA program, which teaches boys and girls to hide God’s word in their hearts! I pray that throughout the year our club continues to grow both numerically and spiritually. It is never too late to join; we meet every Wednesday night beginning at 6:00 pm. If you have questions about joining or helping feel free to call or e-mail me at jauld@fbccolumbia.com or 636-248-4203. I am looking forward to another great year with the children. I especially look forward to God saving children and watching all of them grow in their faith.
October will be here before we know it and our church will be in full swing of Judgement House! I was here for the one we did two years ago and loved being a part of it. I am looking forward to watching God move again this year. I know God is going to use our church to reach Columbia for Him. Another opportunity we have to reach families will be through our annual Trunk or Treat. It is already time to start thinking about how you can participate. If you have a car, truck, SUV, or other vehicle, can put some decorations up, and can pass out candy, then come join us. If you are not able to decorate a car you can still help us out be by donating Candy to be passed out! Trunk or Treat will be held Saturday October 31st from 6:00 – 7:30 pm.
I want to thank everyone for their involvement with the Children’s Ministry. I love getting to work with the children!
Joyfully Serving Him,
Jenny Auld
